CITIZENS' COMMISSION ON DRUGS

EDM number 1668 in 1997-98, proposed by Paul Flynn on 20/10/1998.

That this House congratulates Channel Four for setting up a Citizens' Commission on drugs; applauds the thorough objective investigation by the commission in many countries; and believes that their conclusion that decriminalising soft drugs will reduce the harm caused by all drugs should persuade the Government to create a Royal Commission to investigate the reduction in hard drugs addiction, drug crime and deaths achieved in other countries.

This motion has been signed by a total of 17 MPs.
