BRITISH AIRWAYS' ORDER FOR AIRBUS AND THE FLA
EDM number 1652 in 1997-98, proposed by Lindsay Hoyle on 03/09/1998.
That this House welcomes the recent order by British Airways for 59 Airbus aircraft with the possibility of future orders; notes that this is a mark of Airbus Industrie's success in competition with Boeing, securing jobs at British Aerospace in Broughton, Filton and Salmesbury, and at Rolls-Royce; and hopes that they will continue their successful work in both the civil aviation field and military aircraft, in particular the further development of the FLA, matching the success that British Aerospace has experienced with Airbus.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
