Greece And The 2004 Olympic Games

That this House welcomes the fact that in 2004, the Olympic Games will return to Greece, the country of their birth; expresses satisfaction that over 70 per cent. of the required facilities are already completed; warmly approves the intention of the Greek government that the 2004 Olympics shall take place amid the ancient Olympic spirit of peace and goodwill; notes that Greece has the fifth lowest crime rate in the world; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to offer the fullest co-operation and support to the Greek government to ensure that the 2004 Olympics shall be the most secure and peaceful in modern times.
