2020 Vision Campaign

EDM number 1544 in 1997-98, proposed by Gordon Marsden on 13/07/1998.

That this House welcomes the Industrial Society's 2020 Vision Campaign to involve young people in shaping policy and influencing decisions; supports the proposal to establish a National Youth Commission, bringing together key organisations as an advisory forum to be consulted by public bodies and business, and as a focal point for the discussion of youth affairs; and calls upon the Government to respond to young people's request for a Minister for Youth to co-ordinate policy and action affecting children and young people.
