Royal Marines And Raf Evacuation Of Eritrea

That this House recognises the skill, competence and courage of the Royal Marines and Royal Air Force on their outstanding ability in evacuating British, Australian, Canadian and South African people from Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, following an Ethiopian air raid on the capital's airport on 7th June in which an RAF C-130 aircraft was sent in to airlift approximately 100 people to safety.
