Conduct Of The Honourable Member For Cheltenham And The Data Protection Bill [lords]
EDM number 1406 in 1997-98, proposed by Robert Syms on 09/06/1998.
That this House notes with concern that the honourable Member for Cheltenham failed to attend any of the sittings of Standing Committee D which met on 12 occasions between Tuesday 5th May and Thursday 4th June to consider the Data Protection Bill [Lords]; believes that such neglect of Parliamentary duty exposes the sham of the Liberal Democrats claim to be a party of responsible opposition; and calls upon the Committee of Selection to have regard to such non-attendance when allocating such valuable places on Committees of the House in future.
This motion has been signed by a total of 9 MPs.
