That this House congratulates Charlton Athletic and Sunderland AFC on providing one of the most exciting football matches ever seen at Wembley; believes that the full-time score of 4-4 after extra time was a fair and accurate reflection of the match; expresses its commiserations to Sunderland and their fans who displayed great magnanimity in defeat; offers congratulations to Alan Curbishley, the Charlton Athletic players, staff and supporters on their promotion; and looks forward to many years of Premier League football at The Valley and in due course at the Stadium of Light.
