CO-OPERATIVE BANK'S ETHICAL AND ECOLOGICAL POLICIES

EDM number 1273 in 1997-98, proposed by Lawrence Cunliffe on 29/04/1998.

That this House applauds and congratulates the Manchester-based Co-operative Bank on its record profits for the fourth year in succession, increased from ú45 to ú55 million, due to attracting more customers through its ethical and ecological policies along with providing its customers with the most convenient service channels, demonstrated by its link-up with Post Office Counters, which enables the bank's personal current account customers to make deposits and cash cheques at 15,500 post offices in England and Wales.

This motion has been signed by a total of 55 MPs.
