Road Traffic Deaths
EDM number 1235 in 1997-98, proposed by Mark Oaten on 22/04/1998.
That this House believes that the bereaved relatives and friends of people killed on the roads should have accurate, clear and concise information outlining procedures automatically distributed to them, as it currently is for those bereaved through homicides via police forces; and, to this end, welcomes the publication by Trauma Advisory Services, a division of the road safety group Brake, of Procedures Following a Death on the Road in England and Wales which includes important information on issues such as organ donation, inquests, police investigations and legal and civil prosecutions.
This motion has been signed by a total of 98 MPs, 1 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
