Abattoir Waste
EDM number 1222 in 1997-98, proposed by Joan Walley on 08/04/1998.
That this House expresses concern about the use of abbattoir waste as fertiliser for crops; notes that material potentially contamination with EColi 0157 used on farm land could risk infection for animals and its reintroduction into the food chain through plant and fruit crops; and calls for a total ban on the dumping of abattoir waste.
This motion has been signed by a total of 14 MPs.
