Democratic Deficit In Wales
EDM number 12 in 1997-98, proposed by Paul Flynn on 14/05/1997.
That this House deplores the democratic deficit in Wales in which the Conservative Party, which gained 20 per cent. of the General Election vote, has no honourable Members or Members of the European Parliament; and calls on Welsh Conservatives to re-examine their opposition to proportional representation and devolution as the only remedies to their exclusion from Welsh politics.
This motion has been signed by a total of 13 MPs.
