Degenerative Terminal Diseases And Dla Re-Assessments
EDM number 1176 in 1997-98, proposed by Adrian Sanders on 31/03/1998.
That this House notes that Huntingdon's disease is a degenerative and terminal disease and that the DLA re-assessment process is singularly unsuitable for those suffering from it and similar conditions; and calls upon the Government to exempt sufferers of degenerative and terminal diseases from the DLA re-assessment process unless a re-assessment is requested by the DLA recipient or their carer.
