Iceland And Genetically Modified Food

EDM number 1113 in 1997-98, proposed by Norman Baker on 19/03/1998.

That this House welcomes the decision of the Iceland superstore chain to continue not to stock genetically modified food; welcomes this challenge to the empire building of Monsanto and other American biotechnology companies; and calls on other superstores to follow the example of Iceland.
