EDM number 1106 in 1997-98, proposed by Fraser Kemp on 18/03/1998.
That this House welcomes the merger of the two Civil Service trade unions, the Civil and Public Services Association (CPSA) and the Public Services, Tax and Commerce Union (PTC), creating the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS); and believes this represents a significant step forward in the representation of the Civil Service trade union members in a new member-centred union based on modern and democratic principles.
