Calcutta Cup Match
EDM number 1015 in 1997-98, proposed by Donald Gorrie on 12/03/1998.
That this House regrets the decision by the Scottish Rugby Union to hold the Calcutta Cup match against England on a Sunday, causing great inconvenience to Scottish and English supporters travelling from distances, removing legitimate trade from Edinburgh business and ruining a great social occasion, all in the interests of conveniencing their television paymasters.
This motion has been signed by a total of 8 MPs.
