That this House is appalled at the action of Ealing Labour Council in cancelling travel passes for a large number of disabled people, including 57 severely deaf citizens, some of whom have had passes for 20 years for a saving of ú7,500 out of a budget of ú250 million as part of a 10 per cent. cuts programme accompanying a council tax increase of 10 per cent., the fourth highest in London.
