Mobile Crane Drivers And Lgv Licences
EDM number 605 in 1996-97, proposed by Edward O'Hara on 04/03/1997.
That this House notes that from 1st January 1998 all drivers of mobile cranes in the United Kingdom will need to possess a large goods vehicle licence; further notes that certain employers are insisting that those of their mobile crane drivers who do not currently possess such a licence must themselves bear the costs of obtaining one; and urges such employers to undertake to cover these costs for their employees.
