Air Weapons

EDM number 53 in 1996-97, proposed by Alan Meale on 24/10/1996.

That this House urges the Government in its deliberations on gun legislation to include measures in it to make the sale and ownership of air weapons more restricted; was appalled to learn of the levels of injuries caused to people, wild animals and family pets by such weaponry; and believes that Her Majesty's Government should act swiftly to prevent further injuries taking place.
