That this House welcomes the offer of Richard Branson and Virgin Airlines to operate services between Newquay, Plymouth and Heathrow, if the landing slots at the latter are ring-fenced for this purpose; and calls upon the Secretary of State for Transport to immediately exercise his powers to this effect, as requested by the all party deputation on 20th January 1997.
