That this House notes with deep concern the proposal of the Trustees of the National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside to introduce charges for entry to museums and galleries under their management; understands that this decision has been made in response to reduced levels of grant in aid; urges the Trustees to reconsider their decision; and calls upon the Secretary of State for National Heritage to review the level of grant in aid to the National Museums and Galleries on Merseyside.
