Air Traffic Control

EDM number 37 in 1996-97, proposed by Phil Gallie on 23/10/1996.

That this House condemns any moves by National Air Traffic Services to abandon the two air traffic control centre strategy in favour of reliance on a single centre to provide all United Kingdom en-route air traffic control services; believes that such a policy is detrimental to the interests of aviation safety; and calls upon the Secretary of State for Transport to press ahead with the New Scottish Air Traffic Control Centre project in line with the two centre approach maintained by his predecessors.

This motion has been signed by a total of 18 MPs.
