Prescription Dispensing By Mail Order
EDM number 247 in 1996-97, proposed by Alan Meale on 26/11/1996.
That this House is concerned about the practice of supplying medical prescriptions dispensed by mail order which has already led to some United Kingdom pharmacies being bought out by foreign companies; worries that lack of action against this by the Government will dramatically affect the current distribution of pharmacies in Britain, public access to them and a general reduction in the range of services they provide for local communities; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to act immediately to ensure such trends do not continue.
