Gas Cylinder Bottle Safety

EDM number 196 in 1996-97, proposed by Gerry Sutcliffe on 14/11/1996.

That this House believes that the vendors of gas cylinder bottles should be responsible by law for the safe return of partially used and empty gas cylinder bottles which are highly explosive and therefore put at risk the lives of children who play with discarded bottles and of the firefighters who have to deal with the problem.
