Accessible Transport In London

EDM number 180 in 1996-97, proposed by Simon Hughes on 13/11/1996.

That this House is concerned by the proposals in a recent review of the London Committee on Accessible Transport and its staff unit, the London Accessible Transport Unit, and in particular, those proposals relating to the management and adminstration of the London concessionary fares scheme, which provides subsidised travel for around one million London pensioners and people with disabilities; notes the concern of voluntary organisations about the proposals in this review in respect of their impact on the concessionary fares scheme and on other services provided by the London Committee on Accessible Transport to elderly and disabled Londoners; and requests the Committee to give due attention to the concerns of the voluntary organisations and not to implement the modifications.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs, 15 of these signatures have been withdrawn.
