Conservative Party Membership;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 174A1 in 1996-97, proposed by David Shaw on 14/11/1996.

leave out from `notes' to end and add `the continuing strenght of Conservative Party membership; contrasts this with the Labour Party which in a recent Annual Report and Accounts revealed membership losses of 15 per cent. per annum, and which can only find some 200,00 members to vote despite claiming a party membership of 400,00; and further notes that people join the Conservative Party as true volunteers rather than as a result of trade union power seeking.'.

This is a ammendment to 174.

This motion has been signed by a total of 2 MPs.
