Welsh Development Agency Land Sales

That this House notes with concern the advertisement placed in the Western Mail on 12th June notifying the intention of the Welsh Development Agency to auction 25 plots of land in South Wales using Grimley Industrial Property Auctioneers; recalls the major mission of the Welsh Development Agency is to create jobs; believes that this sell-off by auction is a sell-out of the people the Welsh Development Agency was created to support and is being conducted under the direction of the Welsh Office; fears the outcome will result in significant benefits to property speculators and massive asset stripping of the most pernicious kind; and call upon the Government to stop such sell-offs immediately, putting instead a priority on job creation not private profit.
