Twinning Of Liverpool And Dublin
EDM number 897 in 1995-96, proposed by Robert Parry on 16/05/1996.
That this House welcomes proposals for plans to twin the cities of Liverpool and Dublin and for the support of the Liverpool City Council, Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, Institute of Irish Studies at Liverpool University and the Merseyside Partnership; believes that the twinning will enhance the cultural and historic relations between the two cities; and believes that the signing of the documents will be a fitting and worthy tribute to Michael Black, the late Lord Mayor of Liverpool who was born in Dublin.
