Prescribed Corticosteroids

That this House notes that an estimated eight million patients are currently prescribed steroids but that the pharmaceutical companies involved in their manufacture as a generic drug are currently not implementing any ongoing research; expresses concern about the 40 or so known side effects associated with this treatment; calls for a public inquiry into the use of prescribed corticosteroid drugs; and congratulates the Group Against Steroid Prescription for bringing this issue to the attention of the public.
