Thirty Years Of Abortion Legislation;amdt. Line 1:

EDM number 752A1 in 1995-96, proposed by Harry Barnes on 24/04/1996.

leave out from `legislation' to end and add `during which time four million women have benefitted from access to legal abortion; further notes that the Abortion Act 1967 and the Human Ferilisation and Embryology Act 1990 have enhanced the reproductive health of women by allowing safe and legal abortions and by enabling those who cannot concieve to take advantage of new reproductive technologies; believes that since the Abortion Act 1967 does not extend to Northern Ireland, women there face unequal treatment and discrimination which leads to around 2,000 women from Northern Ireland travelling to have abortions in Great Britain; and calls for equal access to reproductive health care services for all women in the United Kingdom.'.

This is a ammendment to 752.
