Elections For All Party Talks In Northern Ireland

That this House condemns the suggestion by Mr Gerry Adams, President of Sinn Fein, that his party may boycott the elections to the forum for all party talks in Northern Ireland; regrets the hesitation by the SDLP to commit itself to the democratic process; deplores the decision by the Conservative Party to boycott the election; and calls upon all political parties in Northern Ireland to commit themselves to the democratic process, seek a new mandate, support exclusively peaceful methods and to display positive leadership at this sensitive period in the history of Northern Ireland.
