Further Korean Investment In Northern Ireland

That this House welcomes the decision by the Korean firm, YG-1 Tool Company, to invest ú8.5 million and create 230 new jobs at the Springbank Industrial Estate in West Belfast; notes that this is an area of particularly high unemployment; is delighted that this is the sixth Korean firm, including Daewoo, Daesung, Dairyung and Texmaco, which together have invested ú70 million and created 2,000 jobs in recent years in Northern Ireland; congratulates Mr Hokeun Song of Korea on his selection as the World Young Business Achiever of the Year; and looks forward to further development in the close relations between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Korea and additional investment and jobs in the months ahead.
