That this House is appalled that Sky TV not only has bought the rights to show the Bruno/Tyson World Boxing Championship fight so depriving millions of people the opportunity to watch it live on terrestrial TV but now also intends to exploit those viewers who purchased Sky Sport, in good faith, by charging them an extra ú9.95 for the privilege of seeing this one event; calls upon the Government to go even further than has been agreed in the successful Lords Amendment to the Broadcasting Bill and ban Sky TV from purchasing further identified key sporting events; and urges that the new list should be drawn up in consultation with the National Heritage Committee.
