That this House notes that Detective Superintendent John Moore and Detective Constable John Brand were among 13 officers accused of perjury and conspiracy by Mr Patrick Notorantonio who was facing charges of conspiracy to rob; further notes that Mr Notorantonio was acquitted and that his complaint was referred to the Director of Public Prosecutions who advised no action; and recalls that Messrs Moore and Brand were among the officers who took part in the controversial interrogation of Patrick Hill, one of the six innocent men convicted, and subsequently cleared, of the Birmingham pub bombings.
