Hillingdon Hospital Cleaners

EDM number 549 in 1995-96, proposed by Jeremy Corbyn on 29/02/1996.

That this House admires the action of the Hillingdon Hospital cleaners who, faced with pay cuts of over ú25 per week, have been on strike since October 1995; notes that, despite their loyalty to the Health Service and that some had worked for over 30 years, the Pall Mall group has treated them with contempt and that its highest paid director received ú74,672 in 1994; and calls for the staff to be paid on their original calculations.

This motion has been signed by a total of 27 MPs.
