Hong Kong War Widows

EDM number 548 in 1995-96, proposed by Menzies Campbell on 29/02/1996.

That this House calls upon Her Majesty's Government to issue United Kingdom passports to the approximately 30 war widows living in Hong Kong of those servicemen who died while fighting on behalf of the Crown during the Second World War; and believes that to issue passports to these women would be proper recognition of the sacrifice made by their husbands and an acknowledgement of the debt owed by the people of Britian for that sacrifice.

This motion has been signed by a total of 22 MPs.
