Liberal Democrat Education Policy In Berkshire
EDM number 439 in 1995-96, proposed by Anthony Durant on 15/02/1996.
That this House notes that the Liberal Democrat Chairman of Berkshire Education Authority, County Councillor Mrs Ann Risman, whilst opposing opting-out for Berkshire schools, had, in her capacity as Principal of Richmond upon Thames Adult Education College, successfully fought a long campaign to allow her college to opt-out of the control of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames Council, which is controlled by the Liberal Democrats; and believes this to be a classic example of the Liberal Democrats saying one thing and doing another.
This motion has been signed by a total of 4 MPs.
