That this House congratulates film animator Nick Parks, the creator of plasticine stars Wallace and Gromit on yet again achieveing recognition for his fine work at the British Animation Awards which took place on 8th February at the National Film Theatre; recalls that he and other British artists have done much to rejuvenate British film animation on the world stage over the past few years, including winning internationally four out of the last five Oscars for Best Animated Short Films; calls upon Her Majesty's Government to take note of such outstanding success and work of such quality together with the rising popularity of film animation as a serious art form in British cultural life.
