Evening Times Football Against Drugs Campaign

EDM number 393 in 1995-96, proposed by David Marshall on 07/02/1996.

That this House congratulates the Glasgow Evening Times on its Football Against Drugs Campaign which will involve 8,000 Strathclyde schoolchildren in a massive display of community solidarity against drugs; also congratulates the other organisations involved in the organisation of the campaign, Strathclyde Region Education Department, Strathclyde Police, Glasgow District Parks and Recreation Department and the Scottish Football Association; and commends everyone who helps and participates in the campaign and wishes it every success in its worthwhile efforts and initiative in tackling this problem in a new way and where it can do most good.
