Parliamentary Questions And The President Of The Board Of Trade And Secretary Of State For Health
EDM number 357 in 1995-96, proposed by John Cummings on 31/01/1996.
That this House is concerned at the continued erosion of parliamentary democracy evidenced by the President of the Board of Trade and the Secretary of State for Health refusing to accept questions from the honourable Member for Easington relating to the operation of British Coal and hospital trusts; notes that both the President of the Board of Trade and the Secretary of State for Health advised the honourable Member for Easington that such questions should be asked of British Coal and the respective hospital trusts; and believes that the salary of the President of the Board of Trade and the Secretary of State for Health should be reduced to reflect their shedding of responsibilities to answer questions.
