Effects Of Low Altitude Military Jet Training
EDM number 353 in 1995-96, proposed by Alex Carlile on 30/01/1996.
That this House welcomes the publication of the report, The Effects of Low Altitude Military Jet Training, the research for which was partly funded by a number of Welsh local authorities and other groups; notes also the subsequent release of Professor Hartmut Ising's German research paper which concludes that military low altitude flight noise risks causing permanent hearing damage to very young children; and calls upon the Government to introduce a restriction of 1,000 feet and 420 knots on all fixed wing RAF flight training both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
