Rock The Vote

EDM number 326 in 1995-96, proposed by Mike Hall on 23/01/1996.

That this House recognises the success of the Rock the Vote campaign in the USA which increased the number of young people registered to vote; therefore welcomes the recent launch of a similar campaign in Britain; congratulates the music industry on its responsible attitude to politics; and looks forward to increased numbers of young people participating in future elections in the United Kingdom.
