Royal Air Force Essential Equipment Orders
EDM number 1215 in 1995-96, proposed by Bill Walker on 23/07/1996.
That this House notes that the Royal Air Force has since 1992 implemented a 40 per cent. reduction in personnel; notes also that this reduction was based on Ministerial commitments to purchase named essential modern equipment, including the replacement maritime patrol aircraft, the conventional air-to-surface stand-off weapon SR 1236 and the anti-armour weapon SR 1238; further notes that the successful bidders for the contracts were to be declared before the House rose for the summer recess; and calls upon the Government to announce the results of the competition.
This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
