Multilingual Parking Signs In Westminster
EDM number 1209 in 1995-96, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 23/07/1996.
That this House notes the importance of the contribution made by tourists, not least in the Westminster area; further notes that many vehicles clamped or fined in the immediate vicinity of the Palace of Westminster are from France and Germany; and believes, in the spirit of friendship between peoples, that the relevant authorities in Westminster should erect multi-lingual signs alerting people to the penalties and the fact that these are enforced.
