Death Of Mr Siraj Miah

That this House calls upon the Secretary of Sate for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs to demand an explanation from the Government of Bangladesh following the death of Mr Siraj Miah, a British resident who died in extremely suspicious circumstances whilst in Dhaka Airport, Bangladesh; forwards its sincere condolences to Siraj Miah's widow, their five young children and all the family; expresses deep concern at reports that numerous British residents have had to suffer verbal and physical intimidation whilst in certain airports throughout the world; and urges the Secretary of State to take immediate action to ensure the protection of British citizens and British residents whilst they are abroad.
