Family Law Reform
EDM number 1034 in 1995-96, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 20/06/1996.
That this House regrets that, during the amendment and passage of the Family Law Bill, it was not possible to hear why a child's interests are served by an automatic extension of six months in divorce proceedings and would be interested in considering modification of the revelant clause to the effect that the extension should have to be asked for, and judged to be beneficial for, the child.
This motion has been signed by a total of 2 MPs.
