Conduct Of The Honourable Member For Clwyd North West

EDM number 943 in 1994-95, proposed by Rhodri Morgan on 30/03/1995.

That this House deplores the absurd attack made by the honourable Member for Clwyd North West, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Wales responsible for Education and Health in Wales, on the honourable Member for Bridgend for not being present on the Opposition Front Bench during the debate on Wednesday 29th March on education cuts on an Opposition Motion, when the Parliamentary Under Secretary himself in the very next debate, dealing with the increase in prescription charges and therefore falling within his health responsibilities, failed to be present for the entire debate; and calls on the honourable Member, if he wishes to set himself up as the arbiter of the attendance of honourable Members at debates, where they have front-bench responsibilities, to avoid setting standards for others which he does not observe himself.

This motion has been signed by a total of 21 MPs.
