National Lottery, Healthcare And Disablement Charities
EDM number 929 in 1994-95, proposed by Dafydd Wigley on 29/03/1995.
That this House notes with concern the direct effect felt by the cancer research charity Tenovus, arising from the advent of the National Lottery; recognises that other health care and disability charities are also suffering from a similar drop in income since the National Lottery started trading; and calls on the Government to amend the regulations relating to the National Lottery to enable all unclaimed prizes and the main prize on weeks when there are no outright winners to be transferred to a fund to help health care and disablement charitable causes.
This motion has been signed by a total of 10 MPs.
