Coventry And Warwickshire Partnerships

That this House congratulates Coventry and Warwickshire partnerships on the manner in which it has compiled and consulted on its bid for finance from the single regeneration budget, on the comprehensive structure of the bid itself which is designed to draw in other money and has achieved agreement right across the sub-region and is well targeted at the higher needs; and calls upon the Government to recognise that the bid has arisen from genuine partnerships and, therefore, to respond in a positive way to the bid in the clear belief that if single regeneration budget funding is simply spread over the country it will have little impact and will discourage future initiative.
