Journalists And Parliament (No. 2)
EDM number 857 in 1994-95, proposed by Peter Bottomley on 21/03/1995.
That this House, having read The Observer article about parliamentary attendance, notes that during the main speech on Agricultural Prices on 21st March honourable Members outnumbered journalists by 10 to one; and believes that fewer offices for journalists might lead to better attendance in the gallery and to more reporting of speeches made by honourable Members. (Relevant registered interest declared.)
This motion has been signed by a total of 2 MPs.
