Border Controls Within The European Union
EDM number 606 in 1994-95, proposed by Teddy Taylor on 14/02/1995.
That this House, noting that the declaration on the maintenance of national frontier controls appear to have the same legal standing as an Early Day Motion, wishes to make it clear that the declaration was approved by a previous Government; and would welcome a decision by the present Prime Minister to seek specific Treaty provisions to safeguard United Kingdom frontier controls as a matter of urgency and priority at the 1996 Inter Government Conference.
This motion has been signed by a total of 11 MPs.
